Jesus Teaches You To Read The Word

The Bible, or God’s plan in Scripture, is very simple to understand. No man has any excuse for misunderstanding it. Jesus constantly invited and provoked study of the Scriptures, and even rebuked men for their lack of knowledge of revealed truth. He attributed all error to a lack of knowledge of the Bible. He answered His critics by saying, “Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God” (Mt. 22:29). He commanded men to “search the scriptures: for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me” (Jn. 5:39)

-Dakes- God’s Plan For Man

When You Love God, Nothing Can Keep You From Being In Church. All the time.

Luke 24:50-53 (NASB)And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven. And they, after worshiping Him, returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple praising God.

The Kingdom Of Heaven Came To Us Through Jesus

Luke 17:20 ¶ Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed;

Luke 17:21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

The Kingdom of Heaven is among us.  It’s not something far away. Jesus brought us the Kingdom.  Now it is our time to preach it.  We’ve got to let people know. JESUS is the only way.  He is amazing!

Lord, I Want To Receive My Sight

And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him; and when he came near, He questioned him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” And he said, “Lord, I want to regain my sight!” And Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.  –Luke 18:40-43

Jesus puts faith right on us.  For the blind man, He asked him what he wanted.  The blind man said he wanted to see.  Jesus didn’t say, “God, please heal this blind man if it be your will”.  Jesus spoke to the blindness, and the results were based on the faith the guy with the need.  If you believe you will receive, when you pray according to God’s will. God’s Word is His will.  When you know God’s Word, you know His will. Faith praises God for the Victory!

How To Deal With A Christian Brother Or Sister Who Sins

Luke 17:3 “Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

We hear people telling us to not judge others.  That’s a lie. We need to judge ourselves and beware of sin.  If you see sin in your home or church, you need to deal with it. If you don’t it could be deadly.

Don’t Be The One Who Trips Up Others Spirtually

He said to His disciples, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks come, but woe to him through whom they come!  “It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble.

Luke 17:1,2

Those who trip up others spiritually, who mislead, or teach falsely will be judged more harshly.  Jesus is really clear on this.  Let’s build up, not go off on silly tangents.  Preach the Word!

It’s Not About How Much You Acculmulate

Luke 12:15 Then He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.”

Don’t Be So Quick To Talk

He who restrains his words has knowledge,
And he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.

Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise;

When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent.

Proverbs 17:27-28 (NASB Strong’s)

Prov.

Prov. 17:28
