Once Saved, Always Saved… Really?

(Mark 13:13 NKJV)

Some people say that once you’re saved, you’re always saved.  Once you confess Jesus as Lord, you will always have Him and the freedom, salvation, healthy, and fulness Jesus brought us through His resurrection.  That is wrong.
If you forsake the Lord, stop following Jesus, or fall away from Him, you’re not going to be with Him.  It is very clear again here Jesus own words, if you are not with Him to the end (and always, you are not with Him.
Let’s follow Jesus with everything we’ve got.  Get into His house every week no matter where we are.  Raise our hands to worship Him daily.  Love Him first and then you can easily love others as you see them through His eyes.

Are you ashamed of Jesus?

Mark 8:38 (NKJV Strong’s Bible)

For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

Mark 8:38 (GOD’S WORD Translation (GW))

If people are ashamed of me and what I say in this unfaithful and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of those people when he comes with the holy angels in his Father’s glory.”

Look At what He Is Doing NOW

Mark 8:12 (NKJV Strong’s Bible)
But He sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Assuredly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation.”

Jesus had just miraculously fed 4000 people. But yet, people who saw that asked him for signs or miracles.

God is working in our lives but yet there are some who just don’t see it.

Are you ashamed of Jesus?

For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
(Mark 8:38 NKJV)

Jesus Advice On Dealing with religious people

Matthew 23:3-4
Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Religion is all about showing.

Matthew 23:5 (NKJV)
But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.
