Who Should Americans Vote For Obama Or Romney?

I just read a blog post of a pastor that I used to listen to a bit.  After reading it, I must say I am a bit disgusted.  He said in his post

I am fine with a Christian voting for Mitt Romney if they feel that action best reflects their commitment to follow Jesus Christ. I know sincere Christians who will do this.

I am fine with a Christian voting for Barack Obama if they feel that action best reflects their commitment to follow Jesus Christ. I know sincere Christians who will do this.

I am fine with a Christian choosing not to vote because they don’t like any of the options and view it as inconsistent with truly believing that Jesus is Lord. I know sincere Christians who will do this.

This is pathetic advice from a pastor.  Americans have freedom because our forefathers won it when the first believers left England to escape persecution.  If we want to keep that freedom we must keep acting otherwise we will lose what we have.  We must

  • Pray for our political leaders to make decisions that are true and just.
  • Pray for peace in our nation
  • Vote for godly people who know what they are doing.  Don’t just vote for someone who says they are a “Christian”.  (The ideal politician is a smart believer like Daniel who has a passion for God and has the experience to support the spiritual strength)
  • Pray that God will move on the hearts of our nation to put people into office who have open hearts that will not hinder the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
We’ve got to be praying and voting if we want to keep our freedom to worship.  The enemy wants to take it away. Hell takes our freedom that through political leaders (Eph 6).  Proverbs 29:2 says

2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;

But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

Politicians who work against God will suppress the citizens.  There are no perfect candidates that’s why we must pray and act.

Enjoyed a great prayer meeting at Trinity Christian Centre in Singapore

A dear friend took me to his church in Singapore.  Was very nice to visit a Spirit-filled Church in Singapore.  It was a prayer meeting so I pictured a handful of believers.  There must have been 1,500 people praying over their church, their pastor, their nation.  Trinity Christian Centre was refreshing!

A praying church is a worshipping church.  A worshipping church is a world-changing church.

Getting power in your life

Really enjoyed Victory Word Church today! Great message on Prayer from the Power & Presence Series that started last week.

We need to pray more! Then will get more power to change lives

Want God In Your Meeting? In Your Life?

Read today in Titus 1:3

3 but has in due time manifested His word through preaching, which was committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior;

If you want God in your meeting, you have to preach the Word.  Get in a church that preaches the Bible and God will be there.

Quick Trip to Singapore

Lots of the tall buildings like you see in Tokyo.  Just a much smaller scale.

Very clean and green much like Tokyo.  Lots of concrete as well.  Singapore apparently has 4m people and Tokyo alone is 28m people.

Don’t want to swim in that river…

Everyone seems to go out to eat all the time.  There are many couples who both work so there is no one to cook… Wonder if this affects health having too much restaurant food…

Japan’s fast food burger joint , Moss Burger.  Definitely a better burger if you like beef.

They even had people making Takoyaki.
