Faith, Vision, & Victory

Great day at church today. People are so hungry in Tokyo. We had intercessory prayer before the service. You could really feel the Holy Spirit strong in the music, the message, and even the fellowship afterwards. Hallelujah!

Have you ever dealt with someone cranky?

Today, In the office we were laughing to hear about the 20 year asian female skater who is publishing her life-story. Must be a short book? I am slightly older and feel I still have so much to learn. We’ve got to keep open minds.

One thing I have learned in life is that when you deal with someone cranky it is best not to take it personal. If you could look into their lives, you will likely see that they have some issues in their life. It is usually their relationship with their spouse, but financial challenges, loneliness and all sorts of other things could contribute to their stress. Don’t let them get it on you!

Power Hour Answered Prayers

26 June 2010

More answered prayer at Victory! One of the guys was praying for a new job last Saturday. After a year of not working (that’s a long time!) he secured a job after coming to a prayer meeting.

Pregnant wife had swollen glands the doctor noticed. After prayer, the swelling went down and the doctor said no worries!

Our Awesome God!

I was so pleased to see my daughter get on a flight to the US this afternoon. Why?

Boarding that flight is a sign of our awesome God who acts when we ask Him. Sitting down in that seat was a sign of His goodness as we prayed three prayers this past Saturday at the Victory Power Hour prayer meeting.

-Prayed away the rain on Sunday> Answered! Rained everywhere else.
-Prayed for healing from a nasty cold for young baby Niki so she could go> Answered! Completely well the next AM.
-Prayed my daughter would get on the flight to the US on Tuesday. > Answered! She was told she couldn’t go, she’s in an Airbus enroute as we speak.

He is SO good!

Mountain Worship, Baptism & Party

We took 4 vans full of people and went and had worship and baptism out in the Inaka (Japanese for countryside) yesterday.

It was so wonderful to see the 3 guys baptized, everyone come together for the BBQ, enjoy the the mountains/onsen, and see the Holy Spirit pull everyone together for the worship.

The only regret is watching the volleyball go over the 30 meter cliff into the river (that we didn’t see because of the trees!)

Well worth it!

God is moving in Tokyo

I am just amazed at the goodness of God. He is moving in this nation. People are hungry for him.

As I return home on the subway from the gym I realize he really cares for us. Hallelujah!
