Sin and ungodliness will separate you from God

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
Romans 1:18-19 (NKJV Strong’s Bible)

Check this verse out in the Gods Word translation

God’s anger is revealed from heaven against every ungodly and immoral thing people do as they try to suppress the truth by their immoral living. What can be known about God is clear to them because he has made it clear to them.
Romans 1:18-19 (GWTransl)

I Am Not Ashamed Of God

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Romans 1:16 (NKJV Strong’s Bible)

A Word Of Faith Video Program Start

Dear Family Of God (And Soon To Be Family Of God Members too!),

The Lord has been speaking to my heart about recording a daily video to be an encouragement to you, my family as well as those we don’t know yet.  Of course, in our generation we’ve got the incredible expansion of video.  People watch a lot more than they read.

The goal is to give you an encouraging word from the Bible or some other insight that we can apply to our daily lives.

The good news is we started the video program this week.  Its pretty simple, 3-7 minutes of encouragement and insight.  God’s Word is powerful.

It’s funny how I’ve been watching myself in these videos this week and have really been encouraged and thought, I need to get more into the Word to check out this or that.  Praise God!

I pray you will be blessed by our work to be more of a blessing to you.

Serving Him with you,

Spencer

God is not limited

Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.
Acts 19:11-12 (NKJV)

God is not limited to what we think He can do. Some people try to put God in a box regarding this or that. They say What He can do based on their limited understanding.  There are no limits to God.

Even what the enemy mean for destruction, Gods host turned into His glory.

Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.
And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.
Acts 19:13-18 (NKJV)

Are you fair minded?

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
Acts 17:11 (NKJV)

Many pride themselves of being open minded, but in actuality they are closed and not open to new ideas and concepts that might cramp their lifestyle.

Fair minded people are willing to listen to others and then measure what they say against the true or incorrect. That’s exactly what these Thessalonian people did.

Being fair minded is not a one time thing. It’s a daily thing as life is a daily thing.

At an evening reception one night I met a guy from the U.S.  He was very nice and somehow we got talking about God. When asked I told him I am a Jesus Person, I follow Jesus. I said, How about you?  He said I can’t be a Jesus person because I’m a homosexual. Jesus doesn’t like homosexuals he said. I responded Jesus loves us all more than you can imagine. Before the subject changed I planted the words, “we all desperately need Jesus.

From our short discussion, I could see he had a preconceived understanding of who Jesus is. He was allowing his sexual situation dictate his eternal future. Although I’m not sure if he was fair minded or not, we are Jesus’ hands and feet so I am confident the words I planted in his life will grow and bear fruit. We’ve all screwed up but only those who recognize their problem can fix their problem.

Because all people have sinned, they have fallen short of God’s glory. They receive God’s approval freely by an act of his kindness through the price Christ Jesus paid to set us free ?from sin?. God showed that Christ is the throne of mercy where God’s approval is given through faith in Christ’s blood. In his patience God waited to deal with sins committed in the past.
Romans 3:23-25 (GWT)

Can People See Your Faith?

8 And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. 9 This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, 10 said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.
Act 14:8-10

Faith is visible.  When you believe, people can see it.
