The Pastor David Yonggi Cho Tragedy In Korea

It is tragic to hear that a great man of God from the world’s largest church let his guard down. Pastor Cho was convicted of stealing the equivalent of $12M USD from his church it was reported.

Is Pastor Cho evil or a mean pastor? I think not. I have met mean guys with large numbers in their church so if I saw one of them doing this type of thing I wouldn’t be surprised. However, it is tragic to see such a successful man of God do this type of thing.

This is just a reminder that all of us in the church family have to
Guard our hearts
Seek God diligently
Run from anything that smells of evil
Not get filled with ourselves but be filled with His glory.

For pastors I heard good advice from Pastor Jim Kaseman several years ago. He said pastors and leaders of the church family has to watch out for the 3Gs. What are the three Gs?
Gold
Glory
Gals

When our ministries become more concerned about the 3Gs… otherwise known as money, fame, and sexual gratification we are in trouble.

Pastor Chos three years in prison is and will be a remind to us all that we need to seek The Lord with everything we’ve got and don’t let the enemy or the world distract us.

We pray God will turn this horrible thing into something good.

Jesus Will Come Back Suddenly

Mark 13:35-37
Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to all:Watch!”

Are you ready for Him? We must be watching and praying. We cannot put our heads in the ground and just hope for the best.

Jesus warms us not to be spiritually sleeping.

Victory Word Church Tokyo In Shiki- Special Thanks

Special thanks to the Victory family for two fabulous services today.  You guys rock!

It was wonderful the see the anointed worship and fellowship in Koshigaya followed up with a few of us getting in a couple cars and going to Shiki to kick off our first VWC service there.  I guess there must have been about 30 of us all together.

Team Shiki did tons of work to get everything set up, worship team did a great job leading us into His presence, and we even had some custom rendition of the famous song Happy Day.

It was all followed up by some tasty homemade food and desserts.

I am so honored to be a member of Victory Word Church Tokyo.  You guys truly glow with the presence.  I am excited about what God is going to do with this outreach.  Praise God!

Not Just Water Baptism, Believers Need The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit John Talked About

Mark 1:8 I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

From The Dakes Bible

Ten Proofs the Baptism Is For ALl

  • John predicted that Christ would baptize all people ( Mt. 3: 11; Jn. 1: 33).
  • Jesus promised it to everyone who would believe in Him ( Jn. 7: 37- 39).
  • Jesus promised the Spirit to all children of God who would ” ask Him” ( Lk. 11: 9- 13).
  • Jesus commanded all men to tarry ” until ye be endued with power from on high” ( Lk. 24: 49; Acts 1: 4- 8).
  • Jesus promised His power and anointing to every believer ( Acts 1: 4- 8 Jn. 14: 12; Mk. 16: 17- 18).
  • Peter promised it to all men ( Acts 2: 38- 39 5: 32).  Peter predicted that it would be given to all men in the last days ( Acts 2: 16- 21).
  • Jesus died that all men might have it ( Gal. 3: 13- 14).
  • The promised Spirit in Gal. 3: 14 is the same as in Jn. 7: 37- 39 14: 16- 17, 26 15: 26; 16: 13- 15 Acts 1: 4- 8 2: 38- 39).
  • The early church expected all believers to receive it and saw to it that they did get it ( Acts 8: 14- 18 9: 17; 19: 1- 6).
  • That all the above applies to Gentiles as well as to Jews is clear in Mt. 3: 11; Jn. 7: 37- 39 Acts 2: 16- 21, 38- 39 5: 32; 10: 44- 48 11: 14- 18 15: 7- 11 Gal. 3: 13- 14 Rom. 10: 12.
