God has rescued us from the power of darkness and has brought us into the kingdom of his Son, whom he loves. His Son paid the price to free us, which means that our sins are forgiven.

The first time God spoke to me, this is what He said
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)
We’ve got to learn to hear God’s voice. God is not limited in how He can speak to us. But He is a spirit and we are spirit-beings living in these earthly bodies for this short time.
The first time I heard God’s voice, it was the Holy Spirit reminding me of this scripture as I was nervously retracing my steps to something very important I had lost in a central business district in Tokyo. The Holy Spirit reminded me of this word. Once I decided to not be anxious about anything, I received God’s peace that is unfathomable. And better yet, the lost item was returned to me the next morning in a miracle that only God could arrange in response to my prayer and turning this issue over to Him.
Do you want God to speak to you? Let me make two suggestions.
- Make time to listen to God. Have a daily time just between you and him where you praise Him and just listen to what He has to say
- Focus your busy life less on being busy and more on listening to what God is saying to you as you meet people, visit places, and plan your next steps.
If you haven’t got a relationship with God, now is the time. There is nothing like knowing God. Absolutely nothing like knowing the creator of the universe. Pray this simple prayer out loud and begin the fulness of life that Jesus was talking about.
Father I thank you for your goodness. I thank you for sending Your Son Jesus to die on the cross on my behalf. I thank you that on the third day, He rose from the dead to bring life to me. Right now, I accept the work that Jesus did for me by dying on my behalf and receive eternal life. I thank you that I will live forever with you and thank you that you will speak to me, guide me, and direct me as I listen to you and fulfill the amazing plans you have for me. In the powerful Name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
More than anything, I want Jesus

Don’t act out of selfish ambition or be conceited. Instead, humbly think of others as being better than yourselves. Don’t be concerned only about your own interests, but also be concerned about the interests of others. Have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

When the whole world does this, it will be an amazing place to live. Actually, it will be heaven.

Don’t let anyone deceive you with meaningless words. It is because of sins like these that God’s anger comes to those who refuse to obey him. Don’t be partners with them.

Don’t let sexual sin, perversion of any kind, or greed even be mentioned among you. This is not appropriate behavior for God’s holy people. It’s not right that dirty stories, foolish talk, or obscene jokes should be mentioned among you either. Instead, give thanks ?to God?.
