The new Son of God movie by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett looks fabulous!  Take a friend and let’s go see it.

From what I see on the trailers, it looks really good.  No movie about the perfect Word of God, Jesus, is going to be perfect.  For example, the wise men did NOT come to the stable when Jesus was born.  They came later on when he was a toddler (no bullet trains there to get around).

Trailer really gets you thinking about the Son Of God, who was born and changed the world.  Whether you know Jesus or you don’t, we can’t deny that the world has never been the same.  Praise God!

Acts 13:50–52 (NASB95) But the Jews incited the devout women of prominence and the leading men of the city, and instigated a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district. But they shook off the dust of their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium. And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

(The Jews (actually anyone who opposes Christ) continually incited people against the Christians. Every and any time possible the enemy of our souls incites people against Jesus. In this case they drove Paul and Barnabas out of town. What was the disciples’ response? Bitterness? Hatred? “I told you so!”, “You all are going to hell!”. No. They shook the dust of persecution, resentment, false accusation and opposition off as if it were nothing. Instead, they were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. May we understand that the world does not love Jesus or Jesus in us. Our warfare is not against flesh and blood. It is against principalities of darkness. May we keep it straight. Shake the dust off of one and embrace the joy and fullness of the Holy Spirit…)

Spiritual giant. Charles Capps taught the uncompromised Word and had the fruit confirming it. He taught to speak Gods Word over your life and family.

Sad to see him go as his preaching really opened up the Word to us. Gods creative power book is amazing. Use the scriptures in it nearly every day. God richly bless the Capps family.

Praise God for great Bible teachers like Charles Capps.

Many people seek to deny Jesus has anything to do with God. But, was Jesus God or not.

Under attack of the religious people this is what Jesus said.

Mark 14:61-62
But He kept silent and answered nothing.
Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”
Jesus said, “ I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”

Mark 14:9
Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.”

When you believe God and you receive His works through your faith, you will become known in the physical as well as the spiritual realms.

It is tragic to hear that a great man of God from the world’s largest church let his guard down. Pastor Cho was convicted of stealing the equivalent of $12M USD from his church it was reported.

Is Pastor Cho evil or a mean pastor? I think not. I have met mean guys with large numbers in their church so if I saw one of them doing this type of thing I wouldn’t be surprised. However, it is tragic to see such a successful man of God do this type of thing.

This is just a reminder that all of us in the church family have to
Guard our hearts
Seek God diligently
Run from anything that smells of evil
Not get filled with ourselves but be filled with His glory.

For pastors I heard good advice from Pastor Jim Kaseman several years ago. He said pastors and leaders of the church family has to watch out for the 3Gs. What are the three Gs?
Gold
Glory
Gals

When our ministries become more concerned about the 3Gs… otherwise known as money, fame, and sexual gratification we are in trouble.

Pastor Chos three years in prison is and will be a remind to us all that we need to seek The Lord with everything we’ve got and don’t let the enemy or the world distract us.

We pray God will turn this horrible thing into something good.

Mark 13:35-37
Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to all:Watch!”

Are you ready for Him? We must be watching and praying. We cannot put our heads in the ground and just hope for the best.

Jesus warms us not to be spiritually sleeping.

Mark 13:22-23
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.
