The Brownsville Revival was a life-changing experience for us. My wife and I visited the remote town in the Florida Panhandle three times. The power and presence of God was so real there it completely changed us.

In 1995, a visiting evangelist preached on Father’s Day service at the Brownsville Assembly of God Church in Brownsville Florida. He was not planning to stay long, as most evangelists travel. However, that changed when people’s hunger showed and the presence of God hit that church that Sunday. It sparked daily meetings where hundreds of people lined up outside to get a seat in the church and later on in the overflow sanctuaries they built.

Gangleaders turned to Jesus, drug dealers confessed their sins, lesbian couples broke away from the homosexual bondage. Even witches who came to cause havoc on the meetings either came to Jesus or had to leave do to the power and presence of God being so strong in that place.

Steve Hill wasn’t the reason for the revival but he certainly was a part of the sparks that caused a revival that lasted for 5 plus years of people going to church nearly every day because they were so hungry for the things of God. In total some 100,000 plus people made decisions for Jesus.

Steve Hill was not afraid to confront sin and preached right at it. He preached nightly and relied on the Holy Spirit. Himself a former drug addict, he knew what the low life was.

Why did Steve Hill die before his time? It could’ve been the drugs, it could’ve been his believing was off, we may never know. However, there is no doubt that heaven has welcomed a great faith hero as the angels have rejoiced frequently through all the people who have come to Jesus through this man.

We’ll miss you Steve and pray 10 more evangelists even more influential will rise up in your place to bring this lost and dying generation to Jesus.

Today marks 3 years since the tragic earthquakes of 2011. It was a life changing experience that day I came back from lunch at Roppongi Hills. So glad I wasn’t on the 51st floor when it hit.

Walking back to my office, I’ll never forget that great shaking that sent me to the middle of the street to avoid falling glass. The pavement rolled and off in the distance the Tokyo Sky Tree swayed with great force. Cars didn’t judge it was an earthquake until they saw a bunch of us in the middle of the street.

We didn’t realize how the earthquake would changes our lives at the time. We never imagined the huge tsunamis and nuclear meltdowns that would forever change Japan.

Let us never forget that whatever we have can be taken in the blink of an eye. If we don’t have Jesus when tragedy hits we will be lost forever. Let us never forget.

How did Jesus heal the sick, raise the dead, know more about people then they knew themselves? Jesus spent time in God’s presence and waited on The Lord daily.

So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,

The new Son of God movie by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett looks fabulous!  Take a friend and let’s go see it.

From what I see on the trailers, it looks really good.  No movie about the perfect Word of God, Jesus, is going to be perfect.  For example, the wise men did NOT come to the stable when Jesus was born.  They came later on when he was a toddler (no bullet trains there to get around).

Trailer really gets you thinking about the Son Of God, who was born and changed the world.  Whether you know Jesus or you don’t, we can’t deny that the world has never been the same.  Praise God!

Acts 13:50–52 (NASB95) But the Jews incited the devout women of prominence and the leading men of the city, and instigated a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district. But they shook off the dust of their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium. And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

(The Jews (actually anyone who opposes Christ) continually incited people against the Christians. Every and any time possible the enemy of our souls incites people against Jesus. In this case they drove Paul and Barnabas out of town. What was the disciples’ response? Bitterness? Hatred? “I told you so!”, “You all are going to hell!”. No. They shook the dust of persecution, resentment, false accusation and opposition off as if it were nothing. Instead, they were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. May we understand that the world does not love Jesus or Jesus in us. Our warfare is not against flesh and blood. It is against principalities of darkness. May we keep it straight. Shake the dust off of one and embrace the joy and fullness of the Holy Spirit…)

Spiritual giant. Charles Capps taught the uncompromised Word and had the fruit confirming it. He taught to speak Gods Word over your life and family.

Sad to see him go as his preaching really opened up the Word to us. Gods creative power book is amazing. Use the scriptures in it nearly every day. God richly bless the Capps family.

Praise God for great Bible teachers like Charles Capps.
